Nymbl prioritizes your health needs. To help you live a confident life as you age, we’re talking about the some common reasons for falling.

Three common reasons for falling:

1. History: If you’ve experienced a fall in the past year, you’re at increased risk of falling again¹. But it’s important to remember that falls don’t have to continue being a part of your life.

2. Fear: The fear of falling can be overwhelming, and your outlook on it impacts how you move and how you choose to move (if you’re scared of falling, you may be less likely to move both inside and outside of your home)¹.

3. Environment: Many falls occur in your home because you’re there most often². Your familiarity with your environment impacts how carefully you move (if your mindset is “I’ve done that a hundred times,” you may be less cautious when moving).

It’s important to remember that falls are preventable. You can improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling by including balance training into your daily routine. Effective balance training teaches your brain and body to work together, better preparing you for life’s many uncertainties.

If you’re struggling with balance or the fear of falling, you are not alone. At Nymbl, our goal is to empower you to live a confident and independent life, free from the fear of falling. Nymbl is a scientifically-proven³ approach to fall prevention that makes balance training both fun and effective by combining simple body movements with brain games to challenge your body and mind at the same time.
