Senior Mobile UX/UI Designer at Nymbl Science
About the role
Nymbl is a mission-driven, high-performing and high-growth startup that is revolutionizing a $60BN industry and saving lives at scale. We are seeking an opinionated, driven and proven Mobile UX+UI Designer to reboot our design system, level up our user research practice and revolutionize our app experience.
In this role, you will have the support of a CEO and Product team who are 100% bought into a design- and user-driven approach to what we build. We believe that 80% of great ideas won’t work, and the ones that do take iteration with users to get it right. If you’re a student of Marty Cagan, Jakob Neilsen and Don Norman, and want to find a team where your talent and expertise will be valued and make a difference, where your work will directly lead to lives being transformed and saved, please consider us!
WHO WE ARE
Our mission is to prevent 1 million falls so older adults can do more.
Falls are the #1 cause of preventable death for people age 65+
The last 20 years of fall prevention has been focused on mitigating provider and caretaker liability, constraining lives and ultimately increasing falls through a downward spiral of deconditioning and fear
Nymbl is a champion for older adults, recognizing and respecting the motivation, ability and technical capacity for them to be a consumer of their own health care, break the negative cycle and regain and maintain their balance and confidence
Nymbl Balance Training is a revolutionary program invented by a spine surgeon in a clinical setting, built and delivered at scale in the home through a mobile app that trains both the cognitive and physical elements of balance
Our in-home app experience is now shown to eliminate 35%+ of fall related injury at scale when used at a population level. This was proven in a third party actuarial study, the largest fall prevention study ever executed
We’ve made this incredible impact with a visually primitive app with suboptimal workflows. Sophisticated user research studies have confirmed and honed our many opportunities, and we need a seasoned designer who will quickly prove and drive the right journeys and visual experiences to advance our mission
Nymbl is a well-funded Series-A looking ahead to our next stage of rapid growth
